How do 1400mm tracking compare to tachs, rails..?
Base values: 1400mm arty: 0.009 425mm rail: 0.00962 (+6.8%) Mega beam: 0.01531 (+70.1%) Tachyon beam: 0.01392 (+54.7%)
So, they are about equal with rails. Both of them are utter crap compared to lasers. -- Gradient forum |

Originally by: Liang Nuren I'm noticing that things on the test server don't quite look like what was asked. It looks like you guys deployed and then rolled back? Are these changes still going forward?

From yesterday:
Originally by: CCP Nozh Looks like the changes won't make it to Singularity today. Will try to get them out as soon as possible.
So, apparently yes.
I'd say that these changes combined raise the ACs on par with pulses. I think that I'd have preferred a small nerf of pulses with a smaller buff on the other weapons, but with the boosts on defense, an overall increase in weapon effectiveness may not be a bad thing.
... How about those hybrids? (And although I don't use them, rockets seem to be utterly crap, too.) -- Gradient forum |

Let me begin with a few caveats...
We don't know ammo damage types for faction ammo. I have assumed: - RF EMP L -> 38, 0, 10.2, 7.0 - RF PP L -> 0, 46, 9.2, 0 - RF Fusion -> 0, 0, 9.2, 46
I cannot justify this ammo layout, outside of it being an educated guess as to where they'll put the extra points.
Originally by: Dev post earlier in this thread
EMP - 9 em / 2 explosive / 1 kinetic Phased Plasma - 10 thermal / 2 kinetic Fusion - 10 explosive / 2 kinetic
So, base values for L faction ammo are as follows: EMP 41.4 EM / 9.2 ex / 4.6 kin PP 46 th / 9.2 kin Fusion 9.2 kin / 46 ex
I.e. EMP has a bit higher percentage of EM damage than you thought, otherwise correct.

Originally by: Relicc I want to know if you all think its fair that medium arty has an optimal of 15km with short range ammo, are you only supposed to use it on stationary targets? Where is the short range tracking bonus on ammo?
Do not ask nonsenses.. the trackign bonus is the thing you get in compensation fro less damage. IF high damage ammo had trackign bonus than medium range ammo woudl again be useless.
Actually, the tracking bonus projectiles get is in compensation for not using cap.
Well, not quite.
For hybrids / lasers, shortest-range ammo uses the most cap and mid-range ammo uses significantly less. Since the same bonus would be useless for projectiles, they get a tracking bonus instead. -- Gradient forum |

Last I knew, that's happening!
i thought they were only swapping it on the typhoon fleet issue? Got a link or know the dev who said they were swapping the armor and shields for the regular phoon?
Last sentence: "Standard Typhoon armor and shield values have been swapped as well"
Originally by: Gamrikis P.S. phoon is good but not that good, it is kind of like a weak Domi.
... I'm sorry, but I'd like you to show me a Domi that does >1k DPS while having 2 RR and a heavy neut fitted.
Admittedly, that's theoretical DPS, but that fit does have a painter. It is also a bit flimsy with 92k EHP, but you can't have everything. (If you downgrade the injector to best named, you can switch the second BCU for another plate. DPS drops to "just" 900, but you get the EHP to something like 114k.)

Yank you have derailed nothing, we pretty much unanimously agree the changes (not a boost) did nothing to significant.
Let me be the animous one, then. I think that the changes are significant and will make at least the ACs quite competitive. The artilleries may still have problems, but the increased alpha is going to give them at least some niche. Whether that niche is too small remains to be seen.
Here I think that CCP has done good work. Tempest might need some changes and yes, Scorch is probably still too good, but what we're getting is a good balanced attempt to get the projectiles to an acceptable (not OP) level.
Now then, about those poor large blasters... -- Gradient forum |

Baby Jeezuz is crying because in spite of myself, I'm still responding to your trolls. You really, truly are stupid, aren't you? You didn't understand that that the suggestion to nerf lasers/scorch/your mother was SARCASM, did you?

Consider trying to read what you are responding to the next time? Pretty please? -- Gradient forum |
